Position summary
WCGTX is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Physician to provide timely, patient-centered care at a freestanding emergency setting in East El Paso, Texas. The physician will independently evaluate and treat patients across a broad range of acute conditions while coordinating closely with the on-site care team.
This role is best suited to a calm, decisive clinician who communicates clearly, manages competing priorities, and maintains complete documentation throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and emergent conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of your training and privileges.
- Collaborate with ER staff, nursing teams, and specialists to ensure timely, high-quality care.
- Determine admission, transfer, or discharge disposition and communicate the plan clearly to the care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation and complete charts and orders for each shift.
- Follow facility protocols, standing orders, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Participate in required orientation, training, and quality-review activities.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience.
- Board eligibility or board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
- Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Ability to satisfy the facility's credentialing and clinical-privileging requirements.
